Sheikh Ab­dul­lah Mubarak Al-Sabah ‘shoot­ing con­test’ ends

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13, (KUNA): Sheikh Ab­dul­lah Mubarak Al-Sabah Shoot­ing Cham­pi­onship, which in­cluded air guns and archeries, con­cluded com­pe­ti­tions Satur­day.

Sheikh Mubarak Ab­dul­lah AlSabah, speak­ing to re­porters af­ter the con­clu­sion of the cham­pi­onship, said the fam­ily of Sheikh Ab­dul­lah was keen on or­ga­niz­ing the tour­na­ment ev­ery year in recog­ni­tion of late Sheikh Ab­dul­lah and a sup­port for Kuwait Shoot­ing Club. Ha­mad Al-Namshan, from Kuwait Na­tional Guard (KNG), won the Men’s Air Pis­tol com­pe­ti­tion while KNG’s Sul­tan Al-Usaimi won the Air Gun event.

Kuwait Shoot­ing Club’s Ab­dul­lah Taha won the Archery com­pe­ti­tion.

Amira Al-Mordhi, of Kuwait Shoot­ing Club, won the Women’s Air Pis­tol com­pe­ti­tion while Maryam Er­zouqi won the Air Gun shoot­ing event.

Ab­dul­rah­man Al-Ha­mad won the Ju­niors’ Air Pis­tol medal, Saud AlSubaiee claimed the Air Gun ti­tle and Yara Al-Kha­laf won the Girls’ Air Gun ti­tle.

Mean­while, Kuwait’s Yusuf AlAb­del­raz­zaq, the world’s top seed, se­cured the first po­si­tion in the first race of the 2019 UAE Aquabike Cham­pi­onship held at Mer­cato Beach in Jumeirah re­sort in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Union In­ter­na­tionale Mo­to­nau­tique (UIM) on Satur­day.
