OTC trading rises by 40.9%
Kuwait’s Over the Counter Market (OTC) has witnessed during the last week an increase of 40.9 percent compared to the previous week, as the total trading reached 6.19 million shares at a value of KD 951,000 (around USD three million) done through 15 transactions.
OTC report issued on Sunday indicated that ‘immediate’ transactions recorded a negative performance during the week, as the trading reached 280,5 shares, at a value of KD 28,000 (around $93,000) done through 12 transactions.
Boursa Kuwait had launched OTC as a new trading platform for those companies that are not listed on the bourse.
OTC transactions are carried out through licensed brokerage offices working under Capital Markets Authority bylaws and Boursa Kuwait rules. (KUNA)
