MoH official affirms 99.9% accuracy in AIDS checkup clinic
Jahra panel to look into proposals submitted by members
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6, (KUNA): A senior official at the Ministry of Health affirmed Wednesday that a new clinic for AIDS gives out results with 99.9% accuracy. In a statement, Assistant Undersecretary Dr Majda Al-Qattan said that the clinic was finally ready to operate after a long period of experiments and coordination.
“This clinic is located at the Communicable Diseases Hospital, in the building of Islamic Medicine, and it operates 24 hours a day with a privacy policy that allows patients to receive their results discretely,” she said. “The clinic does not only provide examinations and checkup, it also provides consultations and awareness about the disease,” she added.
The Committee which has been formed by the Jahra Governorate will soon discuss the proposal that has been submitted member Hamoud Al-Anzi to name the southern city of Al-Mutla’a after His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The committee will also consider the proposal of former member Nayef Al-Sur for the removal of cement mixing plants from Sulaibiya and provide alternative sites.
The committee will also discuss the proposal of member Abdul Aziz to permit the shading of Al-Na’ayem Scrap and request the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport to approve the allocation of the road to the Consultative Committee for the study, design and supervision of the construction and maintenance of the work of the development of the Sulaibiya road.
The Ministry of Public Works has requested the development of a roundabout at the Kabad Road intersection with the Al-Abdali Road, and asked the Kuwait National Petroleum Company to build a fuel filling station No. 22 in the Saad Al-Abdullah residential city in Al-Jahra governorate.
Members will discuss the proposal of Member Ahmad Hadian on the establishment of a citizen service center in Al-Oyoun area and the proposal of the former member Dr Mashari Al-Mutawa, for the development of the street No. 2 in Saad Al-Abdullah, between block No 10 and 11, and the proposal submitted by Abdullah Al-Roumi on the construction of a wall and billboards and guide boards in the name of Hammoud Al-Gharba Al-Azmi.
The committee will consider Ahmed Hadian’s proposals regarding the maintenance of the streets of Jahra governorate, the maintenance of sidewalks within the residential areas, the modification of the jogging track in all areas of Jahra governorate.
