Kuwait National English School celebrates International Day
Kuwait National English School’s secondary students celebrated International Day on the 4th of February 2019. The event organized by the student council aimed to create intercultural understanding. And the event turned out to be a splendid one with students and staff all involved. Every form class from years 7 to 12
Photos from the event represented a country and had colourful and attractive stalls displaying important facts about the countries. Students were dressed in traditional costumes of the countries they were representing. A wide variety of culinary delights from all over the world were also on offer. Some of the countries represented included Italy, Ireland, Spain, Mexico, India, Japan, France, Kuwait and the USA.
Competitions were held for the best costume, best performance and the best display. The winners were Best costume: 11 A (India) Best Display/Stall: 7 C (USA) Best Performance: 11 B (Japan) The highlight of the day was a taekwondo performance by Pouya Masjedi, Soaud Al Kashthi and Mohammed Hashem of 11 B which entertained the audience and impressed the judges. Trophies and medals were then given out to the winners.
