Mechanism eyed to speed up interaction between contractors, citizens’ complaints

MPW to form working team to follow up reforms

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 10: The Ministry of Public Works is currently studying the establishment of a mechanism to speed up the interaction between contractors and citizens’ complaints received by the ministry because of the bad roads by forming a working team to follow up the reforms that are implemented, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting sources.

The same sources said the delay in road repairs led to the ministry receiving repeated complaints which soared to more than 80 percent citing the same problem in the same place.

The ‘Call Center’ in the ministry, exposed the failure of contractors and their failure to rectify the problems.

This comes at a time when citizens and residents are suffering from the problem of flying gravel, and potholes that appear suddenly in front of motorists, especially on highways which put at risk the life of the motorists and occupants of the vehicles because some potholes are so big, they may even lead to overturning the cars.

The official spokeswoman of the ministry, and director of the planning department, Iman Al-Omar said the ministry has provided a new service to receive complaints from citizens on WhatsApp 93333150 and the call center No 150 to give more transparency to the problems and directly interact with the public.
