Session witnesses heated exchanges:

The first session of the conference entitled, “Technology of Education... Future Vision”, witnessed a heated exchange between MP Khalil Abul and Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kuwait Dr Tariq Al-Sheik regarding the role of the World Bank in developing education, reports Al-Rai daily.

The heated exchange concluded with the announcement of Abul that he will submit two interpellation motions – one against Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Hamed Al-Azmi and the other against State Minister for Economic Affairs Mariam Al-Aqail if they will not stop dealing with the World Bank. This provoked the ire of Al-Sheik who walked out of the session.
