‘Expedite pilgrimage application’ date extended

‘Awqaf’ sends circular to Federation of Kuwait Hajj Caravans

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced extension of the period of submitting the ‘expedite pilgrimage application’ of Kuwaiti hajj caravans to next Thursday, Feb 14, reports AlAnba daily.

In a circular to the Federation of Kuwait Hajj Caravans, which the daily obtained a copy, the ministry stated that priority will be given to those who applied in the first period according to the conditions of the former circular.

With regard to Bedouns who wish to perform the rites of the pilgrimage, the ministry affirmed that a decision will be announced later after Saudi authorities have granted their approval upon the ministry’s request on the pilgrimage of Bedouns. The supreme committee for Hajj affairs has approved the proposal of Kuwaiti Hajj caravans to allocate 10 caravans to facilitate the pilgrimage at a fixed price of KD 1300 with 200 seats.
