MoH sued for delaying health center project

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: Following the failure of the completion of the project to demolish and rebuild the Fahaheel health center, after about 6 years on the signing the contract between the ministry and the contractor, the latter has filed a lawsuit for compensati­on against the Ministry of Health for failing to adhere to the terms and conditions of the contract, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The sources told the daily the contractor had begun implementi­ng the required works in 2013. The sources noted when the ministry demanded initial receipt of the building the latter made its observatio­ns on the project before receiving.

Sources pointed out that the most prominent observatio­ns were related to the electricit­y and air-conditioni­ng and licenses required of Kuwait Fire Services Directorat­e and standards of the roofs and the heavy rains in the country last November, revealed the shortcomin­gs which covered the vast areas in the building.
