KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13, (KUNA): “Ingrained fraternity,” an operetta embodying deep-rooted Kuwaiti-Saudi relations, was held as part of “Al-Fahad ... Spirit of Leadership” exhibition in Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center (JACC).

Patronized by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AlSabah and attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the operetta’s songs were written by Kuwaiti poets Saher and Mansour Al-Wawan as well as Saudi poet Fahad Al-Da’as.

Kuwaiti musician Dr Abdullah AlGuoud composed the music with veterans of the Gulf music scene singers Saudi Mohammad Abduh and Kuwait’s Abdullah Al-Ruwaished preforming.

Sayings and quotes of late King of Saudi Arabia Fahad bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, whom the exhibition is dedicated to, inspired the lyrics of the operetta.

The operetta, divided into five acts, delved into the history and relations linking leaderships and people of Saudi Arabia and what will the future hold for both nations.
