Kuwaiti shooters performing remarkably at Int’l Grand Prix

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13, (KUNA): Kuwait Shooting Sport Club (KSSC) President Duaij Al-Otaibi said on Tuesday Kuwaiti team’s performanc­e at His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s Internatio­nal Shooting Grand Prix has been remarkable.

Speaking to KUNA, Al-Otaibi, that more medals could be added on Thursday’s skeet shooting event.

He added that the competitio­n is a good preparatio­n to the Kuwaiti shooters for the world cup, to be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in April and the World Championsh­ip in South Korean in May. Both events are qualificat­ions to the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. Al-Otaibi thanked the Asian and African confederat­ions for their support to Grand Prix in addition to the European participat­ion, which gave the competitio­ns more flavor.

Some 420 shooters from 42 countries are competing in the Internatio­nal Shooting Grand Prix, which kicked off at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex on Saturday.
