Corpse of newborn baby dumped

Kuwaitis fight with knives

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 14: Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department are looking for an unidentifi­ed heartless person for dumping the corpse of a new born baby in a garbage container near the Salmiya Fire Station, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to a security source when the Operations Room of the Ministry of the Interior received a report on the incident, the Hawalli police and medical emergency team rushed to the spot and found the dead child.

The corpse of the baby has been referred to Forensics. In the meantime police are looking for the parents of the dead baby.

Knives used in fight:

Police have detained two of the four Kuwaitis for interrogat­ion for attacking each other with knives, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the incident happened in Al-Messilah area. Two men who were injured during the fight have been referred to a hospital for treatment and the other two have been put behind bars at the police station.

A security source said the suspects have refused to disclose the reason for the fight but only said they were fighting over what they called “special difference­s between them.”

Watch, ring stolen:

Police are looking for an unknown person for stealing an expensive watch worth KD 4,000 and a diamond ring worth KD 6,000 from a Kuwaiti woman, reports Al-Anba daily.

The security sources quoting the victim said this happened when she attended a wedding reception upon an invitation and when she was in the lounge she discovered the watch and ring she was wearing had been stolen without she knowing anything about it.

The woman then informed her husband and a complaint has been filed at the Jahra Police Station.
