Suicide attempted:

An Asian expatriate attempted to commit suicide

is a violator of residence law and owed the ministry KD 330 for violating the residence law, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to a security source, the woman left via the Kuwait Internatio­nal Airport in June 2017 and returned a few days ago. Upon her arrival, the immigratio­n authoritie­s discovered she was wanted to pay fines exceeding KD 330.

A security source said an employee denied stamping the passport of the woman and said he did not check her name although it is his prime responsibi­lity of the officer before putting the exit stamp on the passport.

The source added that it is likely the employee may have used the stamp of

his colleague.

However, investigat­ions are still underway to get to the bottom of the issue especially since the Ministry of Interior has warned its employees that only authorized personnel have the right to check the names of passengers.

Damages in fight:

Police are looking for two unidentifi­ed persons for fighting inside a pharmacy in Hawalli, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily said before leaving the scene the duo has left behind a trail of damage.

The pharmacist has given to the police the CCTV footage to help arrest the men.
