‘Govt exerting efforts to complete financial and economic draft laws’
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: The Cabinet, led by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, has been exerting tremendous efforts to expedite the completion of financial and economic bills that required major studies, review and follow up, reports Al-Anba daily quoting informed sources.
They revealed that the two bills concerning competition and auditors will be referred soon to the National Assembly so that they can be tackled by the parliamentary committees and completed as soon as possible.
The sources indicated about a governmental-parliamentary harmony to pass the two bills on the right to access information and record in kind by March.
When asked about other bills that will be given priority, the sources highlighted the draft laws on arrangement of insurance, amendment of tenders law, privatization, family companies, mass finance and insolvency.
They affirmed the significance of the draft law for allowing the government to take loans in order to cover the deficit and ensure continuation of state reserve.
