Amir-sponsored Int’l Arabian Horse Festival ends activities
‘Equality guaranteed among participants’
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17, (KUNA): Kuwait 2019 International Arabian Horse Festival, held under auspices of His Highness the Amir, concluded activities by honoring winners of the 4th All Nations Cup for Egyptian Horses at Bait Al-Arab fields on Saturday.
Representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Sabah spoke at the closing ceremony and said he was honored to represent His Highness the Amir at the festival.
He commended the organization of the festival, spearheaded by Assistant Undersecretary At Amiri Diwan and Director General of Bait Al-Arab Sheikha Sarah Fahad AlSabah.
Sheikha Sarah expressed gratitude for His Highness the Amir for patronizing the festival, which contributed to its success.
She said the award distribution system guaranteed equality among all participants.
More than 160 Arabian horses from in and outside Kuwait participated in the All Nations Cup for Egyptian Horses.
Meanwhile, earlier, under auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, All Nations Cup for Egyptian Horses was held at the Arabian Horse Center, Bait Al Arab, Kuwait State Stud, on Saturday.
Deputy Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah represented His Highness the Amir at the event, held as part of Kuwait International Arabian Horse Festival 2019.
His Highness the Amir’s Representative, accompanied by Chairman of the Arabian Horse Center Alaa Hamad Al-Roumi, was briefed by the jury on the results of the international Egyptian event before handing out the awards to the winners.
Speaking to reporters after the award ceremony, Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah expressed pride for representing His Highness the Amir at the All Nations Cup Straight Egyptians for the beauty of Arabian horses.
He commended the participants in the event, notably the horse breeders from Kuwait and other GCC member states, appreciating their efforts to use global bloodlines to further their program.
The minister thanked the organizing committee chaired by Sheikha Sara Al-Fahad Al-Sabah and including Al-Roumi.
The Kuwait-Egyptian horse show was under the banner of the Kuwait Straight Egyptian Arabian Horse Days.
