Air tickets to be standardized under DGCA

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: The cost of subscriptions to international scientific journals in Kuwait University is KD 880,000 according to an official document, reports Al-Rai daily.

The university had asked Ministry of Finance to approve the tender for subscriptions to international scientific journals, insisting that the procedures to launch this tender must start in the fiscal year 2018/2019.

It requested the ministry to start the procedures of the tender which is estimated to be worth KD 880,000 to be deducted from the budget of the fiscal year 2019/2020.

Meanwhile, Air Traffic Controller at Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) Raed Al-Taher affirmed about the agreement between DGCA, travel agencies and travel websites to standardize the costs of flight tickets, provided approval is obtained from the airlines, reports Aljarida daily.

He stressed that this decision is aimed to serve the customers, and the relevant offices and companies, and is in response to the frequent complaints made in this regard.
