Info Minister launches media drive to promote 2035 development vision
‘Effective participation of people essential’
KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17, (KUNA): The Kuwaiti Information Ministry on Sunday launched a wide-scale media campaign to promote Kuwait’s 2035 development vision directed by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Attending the country’s national celebrations, the effort is primarily intended to highlight the core aspects of Kuwait’s national development drive, a senior ministry official told KUNA.
The ministry’s acting undersecretary Mohammad Al-Awash listed the aspects as effective government administration, diversified economy, developed infrastructure, sustainable living environment, distinguished international status, creative human capital and high-quality medical care. Co-organized by the Information Ministry and the Supreme Council for Planning and Development (SCPD), the six-week campaign features intensive media activities, and development programs and movies via Kuwait Radio and TV as well as local and foreign channels, added Al-Awash, the head of the development plan media team.
He underlined that the media campaign would inevitably contribute to demonstrating Kuwait’s civilized image.
Meanwhile, ptroductive contribution of all members of the society has played a key role in developing the country, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Minister of State for Municipality Affairs Fahad AlShola said on Saturday.
Al-Shola made the statement during a ceremony held by the union of the municipality’s workers to honor the emergency teams.
He said that “we are facing a major challenge as the upcoming period is full of several development challenges in which all of us are essential elements.”
He stressed the importance of keeping patient and persistent to overcome obstacles, and believing in aims the country seeking to achieve.
The minister lauded the initiative of honoring the emergency teams for their sincere efforts and work in the country.

The Nottingham British School organized a beach cleanup campaign sponsored by Al-Tamayuz Company with the participation of students and teachers under the leadership of their principal, Andrew Flint. The objective of the campaign is to cement the concept of cleanliness in students at various educational levels through awareness activities in school and practical programs that encourage students to protect public properties rather than defacing the general scenery and beauty by throwing waste
materials in undesignated places.
