Schoeman hat-trick helps Lions beat Jaguares 25-16
BUENOS AIRES, Feb 17, (RTRS): Flanker Marnus Schoeman scored a hat-trick of tries as the Lions used a combative forward performance and steely defence to record their first Super Rugby victory in Buenos Aires with a 25-16 win over the Jaguares on Saturday.
Two of Schoeman’s tries came from driving mauls, while the other was from an attacking scrum when he was able to cross untouched after his tight five had shunted the Jaguares back and opened up the blind-side of the field.
Flyhalf Elton Jantjies added two conversions and two penalties for the Johannesburg-based side, who have made the Super Rugby final for the past three years.
