Committee to complete its work post Eid holidays: Awqaf minister
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Fahd Al-Shula, told Al-Jarida daily that the committee that was formed to subject the supervision of the Ministry of Awqaf to the International Islamic Charitable Organization will complete its work after Eid al-Adha, reports the daily.
It is noteworthy to mention that Al-Shula had issued a ministerial decree clarifying the subject of the International Islamic Charitable Organization is under the supervision of the Ministry of Awqaf, under Article 16 of the statute of the Commission.
This comes at a time when the Commission announced a few days ago in a press statement that it has filed complaints with the Attorney General against some social networking accounts that harm charity and humanitarian work, by propagating lies and fabrications in defense of the rights of the Commission and its sponsors and to protect its reputation and high prestige which it boasts of locally, regionally and globally, and to deter such despicable practices in the electronic media.
On the other hand, Al-Shula, has issued a ministerial decree stipulating the rules and conditions of financial rewards for excellent services.
The decision stipulates that granting of financial rewards for excellent services in accordance with the conditions and controls, including the employee must have had two years at least in the ministry before the grants, and in the case of the teaching staff they must be nominated by the administration to be eligible for the grant.
