Leaders of Russia, Iran and Turkey will hold a summit in Ankara in middle of September to discuss Syrian issues, Russian envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentiev said on Friday.

Speaking at a news conference, he said “the war in Syria has finished and current operations are restricted to crushing terrorism pockets in Idlib,” where 20,000 militants including 6,000 foreign fighters are positioned.

He was speaking at a news conference in the Kazakh capital Nur-Sultan — excerpts of which were aired by the Russian television. (KUNA)
