Sacrifices of Kuwait’s martyrs inspiring: Sheikh Mohammad

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3, (KUNA): Acting Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah assured on Thursday the importance of inspiring lessons from the sacrifices made by the martyrs of Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion.

This came on the sidelines of a special event held in 360 Mall on the occasion of the 29th anniversar­y of the Iraqi invasion to Kuwait.

During the event, a short documentar­y was shown, telling the stories of the sacrifices made by Kuwaiti women during the period of the Iraqi invasion as well as the subsequent seventh months’ occupation of the country.

The acting minister praised the content of the film, calling on everyone to participat­e and attend such events held on this occasion.

For her part, undersecre­tary of the Amiri Diwan, Director General of Martyr Office Fatima AlAmir said in a similar statement, the purpose of these events is to convey messages of appreciati­on to our martyrs in order to commemorat­e them.

The Martyr’s Office has set up a children’s pavilion within its activities this year in order to familiariz­e them with the events that took place during the invasion period and the contributi­on of the people of Kuwait to inculcate national values in them, said clarified.

The event included the holding photograph­y exhibition of martyrs, as well as a short documentar­y film about the martyrdom of Kuwait to commemorat­e the heroines who were killed during, and after the invasion, and prisoners whose remains have not been identified until today.
