Al-Saeid leaves for Paris

‘Famous TV personality stabilizing’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: Attorney Saoud Al-Subaiei has announced that his wife, broadcaster Fajr Al-Saeid, traveled to Paris to continue her treatment; affirming her condition has begun to stabilize and she needs time to fully recover, reports AlQabas daily.

Speaking to the daily, Al-Subaiei disclosed that the doctors advised his wife to complete the treatment in Paris. She was on board a medical aircraft accompanied by a medical team. She got up but she cannot talk until now, so she communicates through signs because of the pipe in her mouth, he added.

In addition, Al-Seyassah daily quoted sources privy to the condition of the broadcaster that she left for France on board a well-equipped medical aircraft to complete her treatment there.

Sources said the Ministry of Health asked for the help of a visiting professor to work with the local medical team in evaluating and monitoring the health condition of Al-Saeid after she suffered from relapse that made her comatose for a few days.

Sources clarified that Al-Saeid underwent gastric bypass surgery at a private hospital in the country, but she suffered from serious side effects because of the leakage of liquid in the body which caused blood poisoning. She was later transferred to Amiri Hospital, sources added.
