EPA plucks metal drums at Kubbar
The Environment Public Authority (EPA) during an awareness campaign on the Kubbar Island has removed a number of metal drums with the help of the authority boat which is fitted with special equipment, reports Al-Rai daily.
This happened during an awareness visit to the island in the presence of the EPA Director-General Sheikh Abdullah Ahmad Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah and a number of officers and EPA police during which a number of activities took place.
EPA noted that some observations were made especially in the marine environment and pointed out that the island’s visitors were aware of the preservation of the marine environment and the reduction of negative behavior and the collection of plastic waste from the coastal area surrounding the island.
