8 pc hike in surplus of trade balance in first five months
Kuwait population to hit 5m
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 15: An official statement issued by the Central Statistics Bureau revealed increase in the surplus of the country’s trade balance in the first five months of 2019 by eight percent – KD 4.1 billion compared to KD 3.9 billion within the same period in 2018, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily obtained a copy of the statement which shows the value of commercial exchange in the first five months of the year at KD 12.9 billion, two percent lower than the value in 2018 – KD 13.2 billion.
Meanwhile, with just a few months before 2020, Kuwait’s population is approaching five million as the recent statistics issued by Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) revealed that the current population is 4,829,507 – 1,419,395 citizens and 3,410,112 expatriates, reports Al-Jarida daily.
