CSC okays scholarship, study leave for academic year ’19/20

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 15: The Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Development Sector at the Ministry of Social Affairs Abdulaziz Al-Mutairi has announced that the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has approved the scholarship and study leave plan for the academic year 2019-2020 which includes 43 seats, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Al-Mutairi told the daily, CSC has approved for the ministry employees 13 seats for the current academic year for postgraduate scholarships for both Master and Doctorate, 3 seats inclusive of costs at the Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain, and 10 seats for the local plan, including salary and allowance only.
He explained the study leave approved in the plan includes 30 seats, divided into 10 seats for the external plan inclusive of costs, and 20 seats for local leave with a salary and allowance.
Al-Mutairi added the specializations that are approved within the Master’s program include Psychology, Social Work, and Special Education while the doctoral program only includes specialization ‘special education’. He pointed out that the disciplines approved in the study leave included computer engineering according to the academic diploma program, statistics and computer engineering within the bachelor’s plan. This came after some people circulated news about his death in the social media without checking their authenticity and the accuracy of the information.
AbdulQader said it is very unfortunate and also sad at the same time for me and my family and all those who love me. He added, “When I woke up in the morning my phone did not stop ringing, everyone wants to be sure of what was they have read in the social media is not true.”
