Two expats under probe, one sought as B’deshi abducted, kept in farm, beaten

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 22: Police have arrested two expatriate­s and are looking for another for kidnapping a Bangladesh­i and holding him captive for three days on a farmhouse in Kabad, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to the victim he managed to escape from his captors after three days and although they chased him for quite a distance, he managed to escape from them until he reached the vegetable market and sought help.

In his complaint to the police the victim said he was kidnapped when he was on his way from Hawalli to Farwaniya to visit a friend.

He added, the suspects assaulted him, forced him into their vehicle and took him to Kabad and continuous­ly beat him over three days.

Police are interrogat­ing the suspects and looking for a third who is at large.

Shot accidental­ly:

An unidentifi­ed Kuwait, born in 2002, has surrendere­d himself to the Mina Abdullah Police Station after he ‘accidental­ly’ shot and injured an 18-year-old compatriot in a desert area north of Ali Sabah Al-Salem, reports Al-Rai daily.

After the Ministry of Interior received a report on the incident, police rushed to the spot and saw the victim in a parked vehicle with bloodied clothes and traces of blood on the windshield.

Personnel from the Emergency Medical Services affiliated to the Ministry of Health then transporte­d the injured to the Al-Adan Hospital where his condition is believed to be critical since he is injured in the head.

The suspect has been detained for further investigat­ion.

Illegal ammo seized:

The Farwaniya police have arrested an unidentifi­ed 26-year-old Kuwaiti, and a bedoun for possessing an unlicensed Kalashniko­v rifle and 24 rounds of ammunition and referred them to the Directorat­e General of Weapons Investigat­ion, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to security sources, the Farwaniya police patrol suspected the man behind the fourwheel drive and ordered him to pull over.

Police then saw some rounds of ammunition near the seat of the vehicle and this increased the police suspicion.

A security source told the daily, security men then searched the vehicle and found the rifle and another 24 rounds of ammunition.

was stabbed by two others during a quarrel between them on Kabad Road.

According to security sources, the reason behind the quarrel was “the right of way”, due to which the two individual­s in one car and the sole individual in the other car pulled over to argue about it. The argument quickly escalated into a serious flight during which the sole motorist was stabbed by the other two who then fled from the scene.

When securityme­n received informatio­n about the quarrel, they rushed to the location with paramedics and referred the stabbed individual to the nearest hospital for treatment. Search has been launched to find the runaway suspects

Forged currency:

The Ahmadi police have arrested an unidentifi­ed bedoun for possessing forged Kuwaiti banknotes, reports Al-Rai daily.

Without going into details, the daily said the suspect was arrested after a complaint was filed with the police and the suspect was seized in record time.

The daily did not say if police found with the man forged currency notes.

Power cables stolen:

Police are looking for unidentifi­ed thieves for stealing six copper cables from a power plant in the district of Al-Zahra, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to security sources the theft was discovered by an employee of the Ministry of Electricit­y and Water.

Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprin­ts from the area.

Drug peddler held:

Police have arrested an unidentifi­ed Syrian drug trafficker and seized from him sachets of shabu and handed him over to the concerned authoritie­s, reports AlRai daily.

According to the security sources, the suspect was caught by the Farwaniya police in a suburb of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh in the early hours of the night.

Pakistani

robbed:

The Farwaniya police are looking for unidentifi­ed thieves for allegedly breaking into the apartment of a Pakistani in Farwaniya and stealing 1,500 dinars, reports Al-Anba daily.

The Pakistani told police he discovered the theft after he returned from work. He said he found the door lock tampered. The money was in the bedroom closet.

Indian assaulted:

Police have arrested an unidentifi­ed Korean for beating an Indian at the work site in Al-Zour, reports Al-Anba daily.

The Indian has submitted a medical report to substantia­te his claim. The report shows injury to the face.
