Al Shu’la issues directive on ‘financial disclosure’ forms
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 25: Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, the State Minister for Municipal Affairs Fahad Al-Shu’la issued a ministerial directive related to financial disclosure and asset declaration forms, reports Al-Rai daily.
The minister explained that the communication is in line with public interest, and in accordance with law no. 2/2016 in regard to the Anti-Corruption Public Authority (Nazaha) and related laws that entail financial and asset disclosure amid the implementation of Article 20 of law no. 300/2016 concerning executive orders for the relevant laws.
Al-Shu’la emphasized on those addressed by those laws to submit their asset and financial declaration forms to the Anti-Corruption Authority or submit information update for those who have already submitted their declaration forms, indicating such forms should be in Arabic while the ones in foreign language should be attached with Arabic translation document.
“All information submitted in the asset and financial declaration forms should be complete and accurate and in Arabic, and those in foreign language should be attached with Arabic translation”, he noted.
The first submission of the asset and declaration forms is within 60 days from the date of appointment to a position, given that the authority held by a person renders him/ her under anti-corruption laws, whereas those who continue in the positions or job capacity must present the second submission within 60 days after every three years, and the final submission is to be submitted 90 days after the person leaves the position or upon expiration of the capacity tenure.
