‘Demolish illegal structures’
Officials from the Demolition of Encroachments at Hawalli Municipality recently embarked on an inspection campaign of several investment buildings within the governorate during which they issued 30 citations and 80 warnings to inform violators of the intention to demolish illegal structures after expiration of the period, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The violations varied from changing the number of rooms and usage of inferior materials in disregard to specifications of the Municipality. As regards issues of encroachment, those cases will be referred to the legal department for appropriate charges, noting the fine ranges from KD100 to KD500 per square meter.
