The security sources said this happened during a flight from Kuwait to Tehran and the plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Iran.
Blogger acquitted:
The Court of Cassation upheld the decision of Criminal Court that acquitted a blogger of crimes related to state security after discovering the truth about an account used in uploading offensive tweets, indicating the account was created by another person based on malice just to put the accused in trouble.
Attorney Muhammad Al-Mutairi stated that his client denied the accusations from the start of investigations, and despite the account was registered in his name, they could not prove without reasonable doubt that it belongs to him since anybody can create an account and name it as they like.
Al-Mutairi added that results of investigations cannot be considered reliable evidence without other supporting evidences, noting the tweets were uploaded for over 2 months and it is illogical that his client was involved.
