Turkey holds Baghdadi son
ANKARA, Nov 7, (KUNA): Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced arresting son of former leader of the so-called Islamic State (IS) Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.
Capturing the former leader’s son is an important step for Turkey, after the arrest of Al-Baghdadi’s wife and sister as well, Erdogan said in a press statement at the airport, before heading to Hungary for an official visit on Thursday.
He added that they will transfer the family members to the deportation center, awaiting the Ministry of Justice’s decision.
Meanwhile, Erdogan said Turkey prevented 76,000 people belonging to IS from entering the country and deported 7,550 others, while 1,149 members are jailed.
Wednesday, Turkey announced arresting Al-Baghdadi’s wife, days after arresting his sister in Azaz city north of Syria.
The pianist and composer Renara Akhoundova performed at the Yarmouk Cultural Center on Wednesday evening as part of the Dar Al Athar Al-Islamiyyah’s 25th cultural season. The musical evening was a continuous improvisation in the present moment in which Akhoundova invited each member of the audience to participate in the musical encounter by connecting what is alive in them now, without the distraction of periodic applause. Akhoundova was born in Baku to a family of intellectuals in a culturally mixed environment (Russian and Azerbaijani), she debuted on the piano at the age of three and showed exceptional musical talent from day one. After a rigorous musical education at the conservatory, she shocked her parents with her decision to leave the piano and study Economics at Moscow State University.
