KUNA’s account hacking goes to prosecution
ABU DHABI, Jan 14, (KUNA): Undersecretary of Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity and Water Muhammad Bushehri stressed Tuesday the importance of renewable energy in achieving goals of sustainable development.
This came in a statement to KUNA at the conclusion of the tenth session of the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), held on the sidelines of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week with the participation of 161 countries, including Kuwait.
Bushehri, who headed the Kuwaiti delegation, said that the meetings recommended increasing and developing investments in the renewable energy sector because of its role in reducing carbon emissions, pollution and tackling climate change.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Kuwaiti delegation held a side meeting with the UAE permanent representative at IRENA Nawal Al-Hossini, on bilateral cooperation.

Prosecutors will “thoroughly” investigate the act that aimed to tarnish KUNA’s image and undermine its credibility, he said in a press release, emphasizing that the state-run news agency will continue to thrust Kuwait’s accomplishments into the limelight.
