TV series to bring together Al Faraj and Al Mansour for the ‘first time’

Al-Shatti to present ‘Idol’ this month

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: After an artistic career that spanned nearly fifty years, the distinguis­hed artistes Saad Al Faraj and Mohammed Al Mansour met for TV work that is currently being prepared for filming between Kuwait and India to be shown during next Ramadan on a number of local and Gulf channels to be the first TV series that brings together Al Faraj and Al Mansour after they met in theatrical works, reports Al-Anba daily.

The great artiste Saad Al-Faraj expressed his great pleasure to meet his fans this year through a TV work titled ‘Muhammad Ali Road’ written by Mohammed Anwar and directed by Manaf Abdul and will include a large number of Kuwaiti and Gulf stars including Mohammed Al-Mansour and will be filmed in locations in Kuwait and an Indian city of Bape.

Meanwhile, artiste Mohamed Gamal AlShatti is preparing to present his new play ‘Idol’ at the Keifan Theater this month, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Al-Shatti told Al-Anba he is happy with the new experience and is eager to meet the audience and know their impression about the show in which he participat­es with a group of distinguis­hed young artistes and children in this new theatrical performanc­e.

He added “Idol” is directed by Fatima AlAmer, assisted by Abdul Karim Al-Mulla and Khaled Al-Obaid, and is produced by his company the ‘Hugh Artistic Production’.

The artistes include Khaled Bin Hussein and Shamlan Al-Amiri, Jana Al-Failakawi, Rahaf Mohammed, Badr Al-Hindi, Moudi Al-Doub, Rinad Muhammad, Talin AlFailakaw­i, Khaled Al-Obaid, Raneem, and Mohammed Al-Shatti.

He stressed that the play is a hearty family meal through a musical show featuring a purposeful story and directed from an artistic angle with attractive and impressive scenograph­y.
