Government prioritizes fighting corruption, enhancing integrity

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: The Council of Ministers will give priority to issuing procedures to implement 4 initiatives to combat corruption and enhance integrity, including activating the role of the Inspection and Audi Department in ministries to oversee and follow up on financial and administrative affairs, and the establishment of an anti-corruption unit in the Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), reports Al-Anba daily quoting ministerial sources.
For its part, informed sources indicated the Parliament during its regular session Monday was to review efforts to complete a number of bills and refer them to the National Assembly including the traffic law which is slated for
amendment.
