Government prioritize­s fighting corruption, enhancing integrity

Move to review state property law

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 27: The Council of Ministers will give priority to issuing procedures to implement 4 initiative­s to combat corruption and enhance integrity, including activating the role of the Inspection and Audi Department in ministries to oversee and follow up on financial and administra­tive affairs, and the establishm­ent of an anti-corruption unit in the Personnel from the Criminal Investigat­ion Department (CID), reports Al-Anba daily quoting ministeria­l sources.

For its part, informed sources indicated the Parliament during its regular session Monday was to review efforts to complete a number of bills and refer them to the National Assembly including the traffic law which is slated for

amendment.
