MEW approves power request:

The Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) has approved the power connection request for residential buildings in blocs one and seven in West Abdullah Al-Mubarak, reports AlQabas daily.

In a letter forwarded to Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) and Kuwait Municipality, the ministry said the Municipality should issue letters regarding the connection of power to 844 buildings – 883 in Block One and 461 in Block Seven – to citizens residing in the above mentioned blocks.

Speaking to the daily, a source expects connection of power to these buildings soon; affirming that PAHW has completed the biggest main station among its projects in West Abdullah Al-Mubarak with a capacity of 960 megawatts to supply 96 megawatts to each of the six main power stations which will, in turn, supply electricity to 125 secondary stations in the residential blocks.
