Braun, Moss lead short-handed Jayhawks past Oklahoma State

Jr scored 20 points, including a goahead 3-pointer in overtime, and Eastern Washington beat Northern Colorado 89-84 to win its fourth straight.

Peatling scored 21 points, grabbed 22 rebounds, made seven assists and blocked three shots and Jacob Davison added 20 points and three blocks for the Eagles (13-6, 6-2 Big Sky Conference).

Jonah Radebaugh scored 17 points with 11 rebounds and nine assists for the Bears (12-7, 5-3). Kur Jockuch had 16 points and Harris had 15. Smoots and Kai Edwards scored 10 apiece.

S. Utah 73, Idaho 45 In Moscow, Idaho, Cameron Oluyitan scored 15 points and led four players into double figure scoring as Southern Utah walloped Idaho, 73-45 in a Big Sky Conference battle.

The Thunderbir­ds built a 19-point lead by intermissi­on and padded it in the second half.

Oluyitan hit 6 of 11 shots from the field, including 2 of 5 from long range for Southern Utah (12-7, 5-3). Andre Adams was 7 of 8 from the field for 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Maizen Fausett added 13 points and 8 boards and Dre Marin contribute­d 11 points. Southern 67, Alabama A&M 46 In Baton Rouge, La, Micah Bradford had 13 points and six assists as Southern easily distanced Alabama A&M 67-46.

Lamarcus Lee had 11 points and six rebounds for Southern (8-13, 5-3 Southweste­rn Athletic Conference), which earned its fifth straight victory. Darius Williams added eight rebounds. Coppin St 82, Howard 75 In Baltimore, Maryland, Koby Thomas had a career-high 24 points as Coppin State defeated Howard 82-75. Thomas made 10 of 12 shots. Brendan Medley-Bacon had 16 points, 11 rebounds and three assists for Coppin State (6-16, 2-5 MidEastern Conference). Ibn Williams added 14 points. Andrew Robinson had 12 points.

Wayne Bristol Jr scored a seasonhigh 28 points for the Bison (2-20, 0-7), whose losing streak reached 10 games. Khalil Robinson added 15 points and six assists. Nate Garvey had 13 points.

NC A&T 82, Delaware St 67 In Greensboro, NC, Kameron Langley had a triple-double with 15 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds to lead North Carolina A&T to an 82-67 win over Delaware State.

Fred Cleveland Jr. had 16 points for NC A&T (10-12, 6-1 Mid-Eastern Conference), which earned its fifth consecutiv­e home victory. Ronald Jackson added 16 points and 17 rebounds. Andre Jackson had 10 points and six rebounds.

Morgan St 56, UMES 50 In Princess Anne, Md, David Syfax Jr came off the bench to tally 11 points to carry Morgan State to a 56-50 win over Maryland Eastern Shore.

Malik Miller had 10 points and nine rebounds for Morgan State (11-12, 5-3 Mid-Eastern Conference). Sherwyn Devonish and Stanley Davis each added six rebounds.

UMKC 99, CRC 41 In Kansas City, Mo, Josiah Allick had 18 points to lead five Kansas City players in double figures as the Roos rolled past Crowley’s Ridge College 99-41.

Brandon McKissic added 15 points for the Roos. Franck Kamgain chipped in 14, Rob Whitfield scored 13 and Jahshire Hardnett had 10. McKissic also had six assists and Kamgain posted seven assists. N. Arizona 69, Sacramento St 54 In Flagstaff, Ariz, Brooks Debissicho­p scored 15 points with six rebounds and six assists and Northern Arizona beat Sacramento State 69-54 to win its fourth straight.

Bernie Andre hit 3 of 4 3-pointers and scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds off the bench for the Lumberjack­s (11-7, 5-4 Big Sky Conference), who led 37-29 at halftime and by at least eight and as many as 22 in the second half. Carolina St 74 In Orangeburg, SC, Isaiah Bailey scored 17 points and made four assists and Bethune-Cookman beat South Carolina State 78-74.

Cletrell Pope and Joe French scored 15 points apiece for the Wildcats (1011, 4-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who shot 68% from the field (27 of 40) and 69% from beyond the arc (9-13). Houston Smith had seven rebounds.

American 77, Lehigh 57 In Washinton, Sa’eed Nelson had a season-high 26 points as American ran away in the second half to knock off Lehigh 77-57.

Stacy Beckton Jr had 16 points for American, which remains in secondplac­e in the Patriot League, two games behind conference leader Colgate. Yilret Yiljep added 15 points. Norfolk St 95, Florida A&M 67 In Norfolk, Va, Jermaine Bishop hit 4 of 6 3-pointers and scored 20 points and Norfolk State routed Florida A&M 95-67 to win its sixth straight Mid-Eastern Athletic Associatio­n game.

Joe Bryant Jr scored 15 points and made four assists and four steals for the Spartans, who shot 58% in the first half and led 42-23 at halftime.

Steven Whitley added 11 points and two steals and Kashaun Hicks had nine points with five rebounds.

Tar Heels 75, Wolfpack 65 In Raleigh, NC, Garrison Brooks had 25 points and 11 rebounds to help North Carolina beat rivals North Carolina State 75-65.

Leaky Black added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Tar Heels (1010, 3-6 Atlantic Coast Conference), who went ahead for good late in the first half to extend their road success in the longtime rivalry between nearby schools.

The Tar Heels were again shorthande­d with freshman star Cole Anthony still sidelined following knee surgery, yet UNC shot 49% and led by as many as 11 points after halftime. and the game was tied at 31 at the half. The Huskies led 51-47 before the US team scored the final five points of the third quarter.

The Huskies led 56-54 early in the fourth quarter before Kelsey Plum scored eight straight points in a 10-0 run for the US to give the Americans a cushion – their first since the first quarter.

Stewart was one of five former Huskies on the US rosters. She was joined by Sue Bird, Tina Charles, Katie Lou Samuelson and Diana Taurasi. The Phoenix Mercury star didn’t play because of back soreness.

The five received loud ovations from the fans when they were introduced pregame.

Kentucky 68, Auburn 61 In Lexington, Ky, Rhyne Howard hit three clutch free throws, collected a steal and blocked a shot in the final 29 seconds as No. 13 Kentucky held off Auburn 68-61.

Sabrina Haines hit 4 of 8 from distance and scored 17 points to lead Kentucky (16-3, 5-2 Southeaste­rn Conference), with McKinney adding 13 points and eight rebounds off the bench and Howard contributi­ng 10 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Thompson, a preseason All-SEC second team selection, put up 27 points and pulled down 15 rebounds for Auburn (7-11, 1-6), but was the only Tiger to score in double figures.

Indiana 65, Minnesota 52 In Bloomingto­n, Ind, Grace Berger scored a career-high 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds as Indiana beat Minnesota.

Jaelynn Penn added 15 points and Ali Patberg had 11 with six rebounds and three assists for the Hoosiers (165, 6-3 Big Ten), who trailed 14-11 after the first quarter but pulled ahead for good on a 12-2 run in which Berger scored eight points.
