Palestinian deal for exiting tunnel of disappointments

INDEED, it is the “deal of the century” — the last initiative available for Arabs to exit the tunnel of disappointments and fighting, and enter the space of hope and development.
It is the opportunity of the century for the Palestinians; if they waste it this time, they will be lost forever.
They are the ones who procrastinated in taking up all the previous opportunities, which in turn led them to further defeats and more division among themselves.
They did not preserve what was left of their country in accepting the partition resolution in 1947. They were not satisfied with resolution No. 242/1967, which was a window for them to get a country that would protect them from the evil of Arab exploits and panhandling at the gates of other regimes, let alone the fact that they did not unite.
In fact, they shattered their little-left unity among them between Abdel Nasser and Al-Baath in Syria and Iraq, Qaddafi, and many others.
They considered those who call them to accept the offers that were available at that time as betrayers. They were content with becoming hired guns at the service of regimes which use them in endless rivalries. When these regimes got tired of them, they turned their face towards Iran, and made them their tool for dividing the Arabs, rendering them into vestibule of its expansionist and sectarian project, and even toying with the Arab blood several times under the pretext of “Liberation of Jerusalem” until they lost that too.
They were divided among “Hamas”, “Jihad” and other organizations — the origins of which are unclear and with each having a master who controls it however he wants until they become models for terrorists.
They reached the extent of considering the criminal Qasem Soleimani as a “martyr of Jerusalem” even though his Revolutionary Guards was committing massacres of Syrians, Iraqis, Yemenis, and people in the rest of the Muslim and Arab world.
After all this history of defeats that the Palestinians have brought upon themselves, all that is available for them is to accept Trump’s peace plan to keep their land for themselves. This could constitute a new beginning, or else, their fate will be to disperse to various parts of the world, which can no longer accommodate more refugees, begging for a place and tent anywhere, and a temporary shelter in any country.
The Palestinians who reject this plan should look at their brothers in the land partition of 1948. They
are living in their villages and towns, and have representation in the Israeli Knesset, as well as the right to employment and with nothing choking their lives.
These 1.5 million Palestinians who hold Israeli identities and passports did not fall for the unproductive slogans. Today, they constitute a political force to be reckoned with. All of the Israeli parties are seeking alliance with them, because they have their voice, but those in the West Bank and Gaza do not get the simplest elements of a decent life because they committed themselves to slogans and disappointing hopes.
They should reflect on the moderate Arab position, whether in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, or in the Emirates, Bahrain, and the Sultanate of Oman, and the rationale, maturity, and political realism that these countries have manifested towards the new Trump plan.
They should accept negotiations based on this peace plan, so that they do not wake up tomorrow under the illusion of statements of condemnation and slogans that are exported from medieval caves. They should not become scapegoats for a new terrorist project that the regimes and faction would invest in for their own personal wars.
