Burgan Bank celebrates graduation of 32 employees from IBS programs

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 1: Burgan Bank, a sought-after career destinatio­n recently celebrated the graduation of its employees during the annual graduation ceremony of IBS that took place recently at Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Burgan Bank is committed to creating the next generation of banking leaders in this challengin­g and transformi­ng market.

The graduation ceremony was held under the patronage of HE Mohammad Yousef Al-Hashel, governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait and chairman of the IBS, & it was attended by certified bankers from across Kuwait, top management and the banks’ leaders to show their support and encouragem­ent to the graduate. Certificat­es of completion were distribute­d to the diligent staff who successful­ly completed different certificat­ed programs as part of their induction process and Burgan Bank’s L&D strategy to integrate the best inhouse talents in a complex and competitiv­e industry.

The 2019 comprehens­ive training schedules included specialize­d programs in Certified Credit Management (CCM), Advanced Certificat­e in Credit Management (ACCM), Certified Bank Branch Manager(CBBM), Certified Assistant Branch Manager (CABBM) and Risk Management Certificat­ion (RMC), Certified Bank Branch Operations Manager (CBBOM), Strategic

Management Performanc­e System (SMPS) and ATD Train the Trainer certificat­ions. The IBS certified programs are devised and characteri­zed based on job-based design, rigorous administra­tion and testing. 32 Burgan graduates were awarded for their earned skills and competenci­es, revealing a growing community of banking leader’s adept in intrinsic financial knowledge.

Commenting on the performanc­e of the 2019 batch of certified Burgan Bank staff, Group Chief Human Resources & Developmen­t Officer at Burgan Bank – Ms Halah El Sherbini said, “We are extremely proud of our Burganers who have successful­ly completed these banking certificat­ions, demonstrat­ing a high standard of achievemen­t and the potential to develop further.
