‘Amir concerned with well-being of Kuwaitis, expats’
KUWAIT CITY, March 26: Political activist and Philosophy Professor in Kuwait University Dr Sheikha Al-Jassem said the fact that HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah presided over the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers recently proves his concern for the entire nation as he leads the State authorities in their efforts to overcome this global health crisis, reports AlQabas daily.
In a statement to the daily, AlJassem pointed out that the speech of HH the Amir serves as a guideline for governmental work; and to reassure citizens and expatriates that all efforts are being exerted to protect them.
Meanwhile, former minister Dr Hind Al-Sabeeh said the supreme speech given by HH the Amir is filled with concern and parental care of citizens and residents, reports Al-Qabas daily.
It is also a message of reassurance and that things are under control.
She pointed out that His Highness’ messages gives many indications, including motivating all working cadres, citizens and residents, as well as supporting all government measures, as well as spreading optimism that the state will overcome the crisis with the cooperation of all.
Al-Sabeeh indicated that His Highness the Amir is keen on the Kuwaiti people, and his presiding of the Cabinet meeting is a big incentive to continue efforts to combat the Corona virus, and confidence in the state authorities.
In the meantime, political activist Ali Al-Awadhi says the presidency of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah over the Cabinet’s extraordinary meeting recently represents a positive message of reassurance for the citizens and residents of Kuwait, reports Al-Qabas daily.
He highlighted that the directives of His Highness the Amir to the ministers include several political aspects, the most outstanding of which is the need to lighten the burdens faced by citizens and residents in the current phase.
Al-Awadhi revealed that His Highness the Amir commended the procedures adopted by the government for the health safety of the people living in Kuwait, as well as the cooperative between the executive and legislative authorities in this time of crisis.
He stressed the need for the two authorities to translate these directives, as well as ensure positive interaction with it by the citizens and residents.
