KUWAIT CITY, April 7: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have opened an in-depth investigation to find out the truth and the circumstances of the reported exchange of beatings and shootings in a suburb of Firdous, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to a security source, a report was received about an altercation and gunfire in Firdous, and immediately an officer from the Firdous Police Station went to the site of the incident and said when he heard gunfire and skirmishes he went down to check and saw his brother fallen on the ground with a hand injury.

He added when he asked his brother about what happened, he was told 3 people assaulted him with an axe and during their escape they collided with 3 vehicles, which caused the breakdown of the vehicle they were traveling in.

The source added, the security men inspected the ‘breakdown’ car and found in it a sensitive scale, narcotics and 750 dinars.

In the meantime, police received information from the Sulaibiya Police Station that a bedoun is the same person who was reported to have beaten the Kuwaiti with an axe and it was reported that three people, the informant, his brother and another person shot at him for unknown reasons.

The injured is receiving treatment at the Al-Razi Hospital and he denied shooting at the bedoun. However, he did not give any reason for the fight.

Rumors spread fast:

At a time when the concerned authorities are all they can to contain the spread of the corona virus, rumors seem to travel at a lighting speed, reports Al-Rai daily.

When the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report on a woman who was inside a cooperative society in the Hawalli Governorate just going around checking everything but buying nothing police rushed to the spot, seized the woman who is believed to be a 36-year-old Kuwaiti, took her to a police station in the area and then referred to the Psychiatric Hospital.

However, someone made a video clip when the woman was being arrested and posted it in the social media complete with a sound recording and said the woman was arrested for attempting to spread the virus through the foodstuff.

The source pointed out in such cases “if there is something that raises suspicion or is dangerous for people, then the matter is dealt with by the security men and the coop’s management, but in this case the woman was unaware of her actions.”

Security man stabbed:

A female cross-dresser inflicted multiple stab wounds on a security operative after crashing into his patrol car.

A security source said the cross-dresser came out of her vehicle armed with a knife and stabbed the officer more than once. The officer was rushed to Adan Hospital for treatment and the suspect taken to the psychiatric hospital.

The same source told “Seyassah” daily that the officer spotted the motorist driving in the opposite direction and signaled her to stop for checking but she ignored the order, so the officer went ahead and forced her to stop.

Incensed by the act, she drew a knife, came out of the car, and stabbed the police officer in his shoulder and hand. She was reportedly under the influence of illicit substance but security men managed to control her.

Bid to break ATM :

Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Farwaniya branch, are looking for an unidentified person who allegedly attempted to break into a local bank ATM in one of the complexes in Ardhiya, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily added, the CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity of the complex has taken the pictures of the suspect, but the authorities say it is difficult to know the features or the age of the suspect because the man is wearing a mask.

However, personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have taken fingerprints from the area. The suspect allegedly managed to destroy the front part of the ATM but could not get to the cash.
