Mahboula region ‘completes’ its deficienci­es ... with field hospital

Bid to provide needs of residents

KUWAIT CITY, April 15: National efforts are continuing to secure the Mahboula region by various State agencies, represente­d by the ministries of Interior and Health, in addition to Kuwait National Guard, to provide the needs of its residents, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily, in cooperatio­n with the Department of Informatio­n and Public Relations at the Ministry of Interior monitored the distinguis­hed security efforts in running traffic at the entrances and exits of the region to prevent congestion, with security checks mounted on all, allowing the entry of authorized persons, food, health and other materials the area needs only.

The representa­tive of Security Media Department at the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant Colonel Shuja Al-Mahan affirmed that “efforts of the Ministry of Interior are represente­d by the field sectors in securing entrances and exits to and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh areas, and allowing only those who are authorized to do so.

The effort was not limited to this extent. There was coordinati­on and cooperatio­n among the Ministry of Interior, other relevant ministries and government agencies”

Al-Mohan added that “the Public Relations and Security Media Department communicat­es directly with the residents for their safety and security, indicating they communicat­e with them in all languages.

Supplies

There is also a large and well-establishe­d coordinati­on with government bodies, and an integrated health center establishe­d by brothers in the National Guard in addition to food and all supplies needed by the residents of the region.”

He continued, “Our message to the brothers who live in Mahboula and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh is that the ministries of Interior and Health are doing everything for their benefit and that of their families, so the instructio­ns issued by health authoritie­s should be followed, because this is for the best of their interest.”

On a tour of the field hospital set up by the National Guard, which began receiving visitors over two days ago, he affirmed that the constructi­on of its health quarantine will be completed within days.

Director of Ahmadi Health Region Dr Ahmed Al-Shatti said, “We are proud of this site and at this time we are launching the Mahboula Health Center that works as a field hospital to sort cases and deal with the area of Mahboula that has been subjected to total quarantine.

Result

This is the result of another cooperatio­n between the Ministry of Health and the National Guard in building a field hospital that provides health care services”.

Al-Shatti added that “in Mahboula, we deal with a total population of 200,000, including 3,000 Kuwaitis in cooperatio­n with many parties that provided them with food and essential supplies for life, in addition to health care, covering primary health care, emergency, laboratory and radiology, sorting cases and the presence of ambulance”.

For his part, Superinten­dent of the Pharmacy Unit in the field hospital of the National Guard, Major Abdullah Al-Zoubi, disclosed that “our goal is to build the field hospital in Mahboula area to serve citizens and expatriate­s of the region and to assess the humanitari­an situation for the people of the region in light of the regional isolation currently in place.” .

Al-Zoubi added that “Kuwait National Guard is playing its role as a supporter of the Ministry of Health in establishi­ng the field hospital to serve expatriate­s,” noting the hospital was completed in a period not exceeding five days and the pharmacy was equipped within a period not exceeding 48 hours, to accommodat­e patients in the area”.
