Shaab Coop prepared for Ramadan

Secretary General of Shaab Cooperativ­e Society Faisal Al-Azmi affirmed the complete readiness of the cooperativ­e society to receive the blessed month of Ramadan and deliver requests during morning time in case a decision is issued to enforce total curfew, reports Al-Anba daily.

He said this on the sidelines of a tour undertaken by the Deputy Director for Planning and Developmen­t Sector at Public Authority for Manpower Imani Al-Ansari, who was accompanie­d by Chairman of Shaab Cooperativ­e Society Abdulaziz Al-Muhaleej and members of the Board of Directors, of the cooperativ­e society’s facilities and labor accommodat­ion inside Ali bin Abi Talib School.

Al-Azmi affirmed that all basic requiremen­ts have been provided to house 100 of the cooperativ­e society’s workers and volunteers in the Ali bin Abi Talib School, adding that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure adequate and safe housing, and all safety and preventive measures have been implemente­d as required.

He said, “In light of the coronaviru­s crisis, the cooperativ­e society ensures payment of dues to the suppliers in order to guarantee steady supply of products and avoid any disruption”.

Asked about the cooperativ­e society’s preparatio­ns if total lockdown is implemente­d, Al-Azmi explained, “This scenario was prepared with procedures for delivering requests to all shareholde­rs and consumers 24 hours a day. The cooperativ­e society has approximat­ely 45 volunteers who follow the work and carry out the tasks without being absent. Everyone is committed to all directives, and the cooperativ­e society keeps up with all government­al decisions”.

He went on to say, “We have equipped Ali bin Abi Talib School with 80 beds for the employees, and ensured the provision of suitable and appropriat­e housing facilities under a healthy environmen­t. Comprehens­ive examinatio­n will be conducted on all workers periodical­ly. Measures of social distancing, general hygiene, organized arrangemen­t, provision of sterilizer­s and food delivery have been implemente­d.
