Six violators arrested: Ministry of Interior last week arrested six violators of the curfew, including five Kuwaitis and an expatriate.
An Interior Ministry statement said three of the curfew violators were arrested in Hawally governorate, one in Mubarak Al Kabeer Governorate, and two others in Ahmadi Governorate. They have since been referred to concerned authorities for necessary action.
Meanwhile, security sources told “Seyassah” that a total of 330 curfew violators have been arrested nationwide within one month, of which 216 are Kuwaiti citizens and 115 belong to different nationalities.
Some leave shelters: Leader of the team in charge of the accommodation and evacuation of expatriates who violated the Residency Law Major General Abdeen Al-Abdeen allowed 150 Egyptian women and about 70 men to leave the shelters, as they were included in the ministerial decision to grant violators of the Residency Law and those whose visit visa expired since March 1 a temporary stay valid for three months, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Al-Abdeen explained that about 450 violators in the shelters turned into illegal residents after the decision was applied to them, as they obtained temporary residence which expires on May 31 and they are not entitled to stay in the shelters.
He told the daily that 28 shelter centers are currently accommodating about 10,000 Egyptian, Bangladeshi and Indian violators.
Decision reviewed: The concerned authorities are currently studying the possibility of canceling the decision to close electrical and car repair shops in cooperative societies, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources.
Sources disclosed the aim of reopening these shops is to cover the needs of citizens and expatriates for such services.
11 confirmed with virus: The Ministry of Health examined has referred 79 suspected cases of corona virus infection to the Jaber Hospital, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily added these people are part of 470 expatriate workers who were taken from their residence in Murgab to the Kabd health center and checked for virus infection.
Eleven of them have been confirmed as infected with the virus. The daily pointed out the ministry is awaiting the results of the remaining suspects, which were expected to arrive over the next few hours.
