‘New requests to be evaluated through website’
KUWAIT CITY, April 30: Director of Family Welfare Department at the Ministry of Social Affairs Hayat Al-Failakawi revealed that the administration has formed a working group from all 27 units of the department and assigned across all parts of Kuwait since the first day of the coronavirus outbreak to ensure that all transactions are completed without delay, reports Al-Anba daily.
She issued this statement during a field tour of the headquarters of the administration in Ishbiliya Unit and the Family Welfare Unit covering each of Firdous, Ardiya and Sulaibikhat to follow up on the work in light of the exceptional circumstances Kuwait is going through.
Truth be told, those working in the units seems to be operating in a beehive and racing against time to complete the transactions.
Al-Failakawi revealed that work is underway to disburse social aid to those entitled to it, in the event of completion. She confirmed that work is ongoing over the establishment of a special link within the administration’s website to receive new requests due for assistance, as it’ll be ready in the near future. She explained that new requests will be evaluated through the website, in addition to the follow up of requests by researchers and auditors “online” and sent via SMS to the requester.
She pointed out that Family Welfare Department immediately formed a working team from the main administration and its 27 units in all governorates of the State of Kuwait, and the central administration started its work in Ishbiliya Social Units.
