virus and even those who are suspected of being infected.
He indicated the EPA is fully prepared and the concerned authorities responsible for the quarantine continue to reassure those infected of their safety which is done in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
He pointed out the Sabhan quarantine accommodates more than 1,000 people and stressed the main aim is to provide safety and achieve good results.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Abdullah said after the EPA teams toured the Al-Salam Beach in Shuwaikh, pollutants from rain water sewers were seen flowing into the sea which may negatively affect the marine environment and contribute to increasing fish mortality rate in Kuwait.
He added, the teams have taken samples of the sea water to verify the physical, chemical and microbiological properties in the water, expressing hope rain water sewage networks will be constantly monitored by the concerned authorities to prevent contaminants from entering the seawater. This is in addition to monitoring the industrial zone to ensure the industrial waste does not gain access to rain water networks in order to protect the living organisms in the Kuwaiti marine environment.
