Artiste Nour reaps serial benefits

-

KUWAIT CITY, May 10: Artiste Nour Qataf continues to reap the fruits from her successful Ramadan work in two serials playing two completely different roles, reports Al-Rai daily.

The first is the heritage series ‘Raha Al-Ayyam’, and the second she plays a modern personality in the contemporary series ‘Jannah Hali’.

And about her work in (Raha Al Ayyam) she said she embodies the character (Umm Ahmed), a personality that she sees beautiful, influential, and historical, as a heritage.

She went on to say the role is simple in its form, but it is deep in its content. “Perhaps what I like most is that the work is my heritage, especially since I am a fan of this type of work dealing with old events and stories”, she added, and praised the efforts exerted all team members especially the ingenuity of the child artiste Ahmed bin Hussein who plays the role of ‘Aziz’.

Meanwhile, actor Yaqoub Abdullah tackles a different role in the social drama, “In the Shadow Memory,” by director Mohamed Kazem with Dawood Hussein, Abeer Al-Jundi and others as part of the cast, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The actor plays the role of ‘Walid’, who faces obstacles because his brother and sister did not accept him after he was released from prison as he tarnished their reputation when he committed crimes – money laundering and forgery.

He disclosed that when he was asked to participate in the series, he considered it an opportunity to tackle a role different from the characters he played in the last two series.

He clarified he cannot do more than one series due to his prior commitments. He said: “I was offered roles in the series, “Janat Ahli” and “Beirut Batch,” but I declined as I cannot shoot for three consecutive months because of my work as a teacher. I have a family and work commitment.”
