‘Health’ sets a mechanism to continue work in its facilities
Non-medical specialities not over 50pc
KUWAIT CITY, June 25: Ministry of Health has set a mechanism to continue the work in the ministry’s facilities, provided that doctors, pharmacists, nurses and technicians in their various specialities work according to schedule, and in their numbers commensurate with the size of the medical services provided, reports Al-Anba daily.
The mechanism includes the need for medical, technical and administrative staff to adhere to approved personal protection methods according to the prescribed preventive requirements of public health. The duty is arranged in a manner that does not conflict with the official working hours, and the use of employees in all other non-medical specialties at various facilities of the ministry to conduct necessary business at a rate not exceeding 50 percent of the number of employees. It stated that the work is to be rotated among employees as arranged by the sector officials, according to the work need.
It considers what is stated in Circular No.55/2020 as referred to in a second article, where employees in their various categories as listed below, are exempted in accordance with the decisions of the Council of Ministers and Civil Service Commission in light of the new Corona pandemic to ensure their safety and preserve their health.
It includes pregnant employees in their last trimester or those with complications of pregnancy or a high-risk pregnancy category according to medical report; severely or moderately handicapped employee and a person taking care of disabled person, according to the Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities; employee who meets the conditions of reducing working hours due to his illness; those whose medical leave was approved by the General Medical Council before the holiday and rest period of the Council of Ministers; non-medical and technical cadres having reached the age of 55 years and above except for supervisory positions at the level of the directors of departments; staff suffering from the complications of chronic and incurable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart, chest diseases, cancer, kidney failure and rheumatism according to medical reports.
The exemption will be until the end of the third stage of the ministry’s plan to return to work or whatever is decided by relevant authorities in the State in the event that an employee exempted from work performs certain tasks, and one of those not covered by the exemption will be assigned to perform duties until the end of the third stage. And, whoever desires these categories to continue to work should submit a written declaration to the office of the Undersecretary to study his exclusion, not according to the health status and actual need for work, after presenting it to the technical committee.
The mechanism indicates that this exemption does not apply to incumbent leadership positions. A technical committee is formed to approve medical reports of the Ministry of Health workers requesting to be exempted from work and the obligation to wear protective masks to cover nose and mouth America amid the commitment to social spacing. The reception of visitors is organized in a manner that prevents congestion and obliges physical distance.
