Power cable fire wrecks cars
Underground power cable caught fire in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and as a result two cars parked in the area were reduced to ‘ashes’, reports Al-Rai daily.
Acting on information firemen from the Farwaniya Fire Center rushed to the area and put out the fire. The daily added, another vehicle which was parked nearby was also partially damaged.
The Public Relations and Information Department of the Kuwait Fire Services
Directorate (KFSD) said in a statement prompt action by the firemen prevented in the fire spreading to other vehicles. No injuries have been reported.
Meanwhile, a fire broke out in a vehicle on the Ghazali Road in front of AlOmariya yesterday, reports Al-Rai daily.
Farwaniya firefighters dealt with the accident. No casualties have been reported. The daily did not say what caused the fire in the car.
