KUWAIT CITY, Sept 10: The intensive care unit (ICU) of the Mubarak AlKabeer Hospital was the scene of a heinous murder of a Kuwaiti woman who was in her 30s, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The daily added, the victim had survived the murder attempt by her elder brother two days, who shot her with a pistol and escaped from the house in Salwa and was subsequently arrested by the police.

When the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior was informed by the hospital administration that someone had been shot inside the ICU of the hospital, police rushed to the spot and saw the patient in a pool of blood.

The source added her younger brother went to the ICU where the victim was in a critical condition and finished the job which his elder brother had left undone and fled. The ‘killer’ was identified by the CCTV cameras in the hospital. The suspect after committing the crime walked away from the scene.

The source pointed out the concerned authorities have opened an extensive investigation into the incident and are in the process of knowing how an armed person could slip into the ICU unnoticed, do the job and walk away.

The authorities also want to know if the patient was not guarded since there was an attack on her life and should have been provided a police guard.

The daily learned, from its sources, that the Attorney-General has ordered a full investigation into how the suspect entered the ICU, since the only people who have access to the room are only doctors and nursing staff. He also ordered the victim’s body to be referred to the Forensics Medicine for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, the Al-Rai daily said the killer has surrendered to the police and he is being interrogated. The daily also said, the Hawalli Governorate police patrols have found the vehicle in which the alleged suspect drove to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital and killed his sister who was in the intensive care unit recovering from an earlier attempt on her life by her elder brother.

Inside the vehicle police found ammunition rounds, the type that killed the victim inside the ICU. Woman stabbed in court: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are looking for an unidentified Kuwaiti for allegedly stabbing from the back an unidentified young bedoun woman outside the Jahra court compound, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the security sources after the court session the woman was walking to her car when the suspect came from behind and stabbed her with a knife and escaped.

When the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report on the incident police and paramedics rushed to the spot and took the woman to the hospital.

A security source said the woman was stabbed in revenge because the court is looking into the case filed by her against the man. Wife accused of infidelity: The Public Prosecution is looking into a

strange complaint filed by the husband against his wife, who is believed to be in her late 20s, reports Al-Anba daily.

The husband in his complaint to the police said he caught his wife redhanded in the embrace of a young man inside a car which was parked in front of a cooperative society.

He further added, after he spent some time with friends he went to the cooperative and accidentally happened to see the vehicle similar to that of his wife.

He peeped inside and saw his wife in the embrace of a stranger who after seeing him got out of the vehicle and escaped from the scene, following which the woman closed the doors of the car, stepped on the gas pedal and as she was attempting to escape she collided with the vehicle of an unidentified Indian.

After the case was registered against the wife, she was summoned for inter

rogation and she told the interrogator that she was indeed with a ‘friend’ inside a car and she also admitted that she was confronted by her husband, the friend escaped and she also admitted to colliding ‘unintentionally’ with the vehicle of an Indian.

She accused her husband of spying on her. She said after she had an argument with her husband she called her friend to seek his advice. She added, when her husband saw her she was with her friend but denied what her husband said that she was in the embrace of the man.

She went on to say if she wanted to do something like that, she would not be sitting with the man in the parking lot of a cooperative society where hundreds of people come and go. The man left her and escaped for fear of being harmed by the woman’s husband.

The statements of both parties have been recorded by the Public

Prosecution.

KD12mn debt unpaid: The Mubarak Al-Kabeer police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti who was wanted by law for failing to pay more than 12 million dinars debt, reports Al-Anba daily.

The suspect, who has been handed over to the Sentences Enforcement Department (SED), was seized during a security campaign in Sabah Al-Salem. On the other hand, the same police in two separate incidents have arrested two Kuwaitis for failing to pay debts. One owed 2,367 dinars and the other 4,056 dinars to two different people.

Police also arrested yet another person, a bedoun, who was wanted for failing to pay 1,373 dinars; this is in addition to another person who was seized in Andalus and was wanted for failure to pay 3,970 dinars.
