Mu­nic­i­pal Coun­cil mem­ber pro­poses con­struc­tion goods mar­ket in Mut­laa

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 12: A mem­ber of the Mu­nic­i­pal Coun­cil Eng Hamoud Al-Enezi has pro­posed the al­lo­ca­tion of a tem­po­rary mar­ket for con­struc­tion ma­te­ri­als in Mut­laa res­i­den­tial area.

In a press state­ment, Eng Al-Enezi said, “Since the Pub­lic Author­ity for Hous­ing Wel­fare an­nounced that it will soon re­ceive the first phase of Mut­laa Res­i­den­tial City project and since Kuwait Mu­nic­i­pal­ity will sub­se­quently start is­su­ing con­struc­tion per­mits for those with plots in the area, the need for a mar­ket of con­struc­tion ma­te­ri­als in Mut­laa area is nec­es­sary.”

He in­di­cated that hav­ing such a mar­ket in the area will en­sure quick ac­cess to con­struc­tion ma­te­ri­als, which will in turn save time and money spent on trans­porta­tion from the fac­to­ries to the area as well as re­duce traf­fic on the roads in terms of trans­porta­tion of heavy ma­chin­ery back and forth the con­struc­tion area.

Eng Al-Enezi con­cluded his state­ment by stress­ing that the tem­po­rary mar­ket for con­struc­tion ma­te­ri­als should be lim­ited to lo­cal sup­pli­ers and im­porters reg­is­tered as Small and Medium En­ter­prises (SMEs).
