KUWAIT CITY, Sept 12: A member of the Municipal Council Eng Hamoud Al-Enezi has proposed the allocation of a temporary market for construction materials in Mutlaa residential area.

In a press statement, Eng Al-Enezi said, “Since the Public Authority for Housing Welfare announced that it will soon receive the first phase of Mutlaa Residential City project and since Kuwait Municipality will subsequently start issuing construction permits for those with plots in the area, the need for a market of construction materials in Mutlaa area is necessary.”

He indicated that having such a market in the area will ensure quick access to construction materials, which will in turn save time and money spent on transportation from the factories to the area as well as reduce traffic on the roads in terms of transportation of heavy machinery back and forth the construction area.

Eng Al-Enezi concluded his statement by stressing that the temporary market for construction materials should be limited to local suppliers and importers registered as Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
