EU welcomes Moroccan initiative: Brotherhood leaders to life:

-

The European Union Friday welcomed and encouraged Moroccos initiative on Libya saying it is a timely contribution to the efforts of the United Nations for a political solution to the crisis in Libya.

This position was expressed by EU High Representative Josep Borrell in a phone conversation today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Morocco Nasser Bourita.

In this context, a broad convergence of views emerged between the two interlocutors on the prospects opened up by the inter-Libyan dialogue recently hosted by Morocco in Bouznika, noted a statement released by Borrells office. (KUNA)

The criminal court in Port Said on Saturday sentenced former guide of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood organization Mohammad Badie and eleven leaders of the group to life in prison, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.

The court found Badie and the other chiefs guilty for committing, instigating violence and acts of murder that happened in the province of Port Said in 2013. (AP)
