Kuwaiti, Gulf teachers to get rare specialization allowance
KD 200 to be paid retrospectively from last October
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 13: The administrative sector in the Ministry of Education will start early next week the procedures for disbursing rare specialization allowance estimated at 200 dinars to eligible Kuwaiti and Gulf teachers, retrospectively from last October, after Civil Service Commission’s response to the ministry’s request to grant allowance, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Informed sources affirmed that the administrative affairs sector of Ministry of Education will limit the number of eligible beneficiaries in all educational areas, and then upload them to the integrated systems, in preparation for the transfer of statements to the financial sector for disbursement, expecting the procedures to end within two weeks or less – while depositing the sums into the beneficiary teachers’ accounts with their salaries for the month of October in the latest estimate.
Civil Service Commission agreed to grant Kuwaiti teachers and the GCC citizens specialization allowance for 2019/2020 academic year.
Study
The commission urged for the rules set out in the official correspondence with the Ministry of Education in this regard to be observed, while addressing the commission on rare specializations for each academic year following the study of the subject.
On the other hand, Ministry of Education held the first meeting of the permanent response committee on State Audit Bureau’s observations in the presence of the ministry’s acting Undersecretary Faisal Al-Maqsid and all assistant undersecretaries.
Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs Sector Yusef Al-Najar said: All observations of the State Audit Bureau were discussed and distributed according to sectors and departments, while each of them was given a period of one week to respond to all
inquiries and observations, accompanied by justifications.”
Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Osama Al-Sultan announced the resumption of supervisory job interviews (technical instructor and head of subject department) next Sunday after the suspension due to Covid-19 pandemic.
Interviews
He indicated the morning interviews will take place at the ministry’s headquarters in South Surra, starting from nine in the morning, and in the evening, it will be held at the interview center in Salah Al-Din High School in Zahraa area from 5:00 pm, according to interview schedules for various disci
plines. This is to increase the number of interviews per day and to make things easy for interview committees and applicants, while ensuring application of the health requirements. He pointed to the formation of 17 interview committees for various majors to complete the process as soon as possible to be able to enumerate and study the needs for 2020/2021 academic year, and to issue the supervisory job bulletin, noting a date will be set for each applicant.
The Japanese Embassy has set October 13 as the deadline for accepting applications for the Japanese government scholarship program 2021 from Kuwaiti high school students who wish to study in the Japanese universities, and
November 3, 2020 for master and doctoral students.
The embassy in a statement pointed out that the grant application process includes examination of papers, a written examination and personal interview, while the application is accepted only in a printed copy in PDF and sent via the embassy’s email, noting the conditions for application and fields of study are available on the embassy’s website.
It is noteworthy the scholarship program offered by the Japanese government was established in 1954 in order to increase mutual understanding between the people of Japan and other countries, in addition to making an international contribution in the intellectual field.
