KUWAIT CITY, Sept 13: The administrative sector in the Ministry of Education will start early next week the procedures for disbursing rare specialization allowance estimated at 200 dinars to eligible Kuwaiti and Gulf teachers, retrospectively from last October, after Civil Service Commission’s response to the ministry’s request to grant allowance, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Informed sources affirmed that the administrative affairs sector of Ministry of Education will limit the number of eligible beneficiaries in all educational areas, and then upload them to the integrated systems, in preparation for the transfer of statements to the financial sector for disbursement, expecting the procedures to end within two weeks or less – while depositing the sums into the beneficiary teachers’ accounts with their salaries for the month of October in the latest estimate.

Civil Service Commission agreed to grant Kuwaiti teachers and the GCC citizens specialization allowance for 2019/2020 academic year.

The commission urged for the rules set out in the official correspondence with the Ministry of Education in this regard to be observed, while addressing the commission on rare specializations for each academic year following the study of the subject.

On the other hand, Ministry of Education held the first meeting of the permanent response committee on State Audit Bureau’s observations in the presence of the ministry’s acting Undersecretary Faisal Al-Maqsid and all assistant undersecretaries.

Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs Sector Yusef Al-Najar said: All observations of the State Audit Bureau were discussed and distributed according to sectors and departments, while each of them was given a period of one week to respond to all

inquiries and observations, accompanied by justifications.”

Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Osama Al-Sultan announced the resumption of supervisory job interviews (technical instructor and head of subject department) next Sunday after the suspension due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The Japanese Embassy has set October 13 as the deadline for accepting applications for the Japanese government scholarship program 2021 from Kuwaiti high school students who wish to study in the Japanese universities, and
